The NISER library now has over 30,000 volumes
of books, journals and government publications. Its up-to-date serial
section of government publications, journals and press library are
always in demand. The holdings comprise materials on social sciences,
economics, agriculture, regional planning, transportation, etc.
The library is open to members of staff, researchers
and post graduate students from 7.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m., Monday to
Friday.
The library provides the following services inter-alia:

- acquiring books, journals and government
publications
- rendering current awareness services
- quarterly production and distribution of
Accession List
- periodic production of NISER Research Report
Bulletin
- monthly production of `Communication'
- Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI)
that is notifying researchers of new publications in their
various fields.
- Readers' advisory services
- Photocopying services
- Computerised bibliographic and literature
searching services.
